Challenge: In your next email, try using an image or two instead of additional copy to convey meaning, feeling and product/service benefits. The copy you do choose to include should still be concise, meaningful and relevant.
One of the secrets to writing a great short-form email is to get your reader to mentally engage with your email immediately. Creating mental imagery is a great way to accomplish this. When your reader begins to picture in their mind what you’re writing about, they start to engage personally with your email in a powerful way. And this can get them to click on your call to action.
In this brief email, Airbnb includes words such as “Rib Boat,” “Good Vibes and Music” and “Coastal Beaches” to help the reader picture the kind of adventure they will have while using their service:

They chose these words because they create imagery the moment you read them. How can you think of a sumo wrestler without picturing their iconic outfit? Or a chef without his uniform and bustling kitchen?
These powerful words also create the feeling that the reader will be meeting new and exciting city dwellers, which might be a stark contrast compared to their usual travel adventures. Instead of writing that you’ll “meet new and exciting people” when using the service, they use specific examples to encourage the reader to envision this experience.
Challenge: Experiment with words you wouldn’t normally use in your next email, and be specific about the benefits a reader would gain. Use words that create mental pictures, and don’t be afraid to try ones that are unusual.
What are you more likely to fondly recall years later? A college lecture on American history or a comedy show with Kevin Hart?

Humor connects with people. It sticks in their memory, lightens their mood and often creates a sense of admiration (especially for a witty joke). And best of all, humor can be a powerful way to convey meaning in fewer words and get people to engage with your emails.

I mean really, who doesn’t sit and wonder at the magic of “David Copperfield, bacon, and ligers” (bacon especially)?
Challenge: Use humor in your next short effective email writing content to connect with your subscribers quickly. Your first sentence can be humorous while your second and third can set the context and encourage people to act. By using humor, you can grab your reader’s attention quickly and create positive vibes that encourage them to click. Which means you’ll need less content later on trying to convince them to act. Just make sure that your humor is relevant to your message and that it’ll make sense to your unique audience.
If you’ve got a great product, let it speak for itself. Instead of writing long descriptions of your products and their benefits, try using images in your emails that’ll show off your product’s benefits with visuals instead of words.
In the below email, Etsy writes very little – just a subject line and brief sentence about how you can find the perfect gift with Etsy. But they include tons of images of their sellers’ products fitted into categories that will help readers find what they’re looking for:

This email needs very little written content, because the images demonstrate the benefits of the products, instead of words.
Challenge: If you have pictures of your product, try sending an email to subscribers that includes those pictures. If you offer a service, try incorporating pictures that demonstrate it in action. For example, if you’re a personal fitness trainer, try including images of you demonstrating a workout routine or guiding clients during a workout. Using pictures can save you from writing a lot of extra content and catch your subscribers’ attention right away.
We experience the world with our five senses. So when you incorporate the senses in your emails, you can turn an email into something your reader can feel, smell, see, touch and hear while sitting at their computer hundreds or thousands of miles away. By engaging your subscriber in this way, you can encourage them to act with less written content.

By using powerful adjectives, this email transports the reader from wherever they are to a quaint, charming home. Their headline “Cold Nights, Warm Kitchens” allows readers to envision and feel the warmth of a cozy kitchen during winter.
The words “crisp apples to sweet butternut squash” helps you also imagine the taste of those foods, and the background visuals of this tasty produce evokes the sense of sight to bring it all together.
Challenge: Create an email that appeals to the senses by using adjectives and imagery in your content. You don’t needs lot of email content if your language can engage people right away, and using the senses is a great way to do this. To see if this encourages subscriber engagement, be sure review your click-through rate to see if it’s higher than usual.
Although the perfect email length depends on your business needs and audience, keep in mind that you don’t need to only create in effective email writing just a 200-word email to convince people to act.
With the right words and images, you can get people to engage with just a quick email.

We’ve all been in that place and pretty much know actions speak louder than words. You have a pretty good idea what must be done, but you can’t do it. You know it is the appropriate thing to do, but you just can’t act. So are you stuck and you mull the circumstances over and over in your head, but still you don’t really do anything about it. You wait…wait for life to come along and work it out for you. Then you accept the outcome. There are times when this approach might be okay, perhaps even the best choice; but most of the time we just don’t have the courage to make a decision.
That’s what it boils down to, you know…courage. Well, I know that’s the case for me anyway. I have taken to examining myself at such times when I find it difficult to decide what best to do. My discovery is that, even when it is abundantly clear that one action is for the greater good, fear stops me from acting of my own will. I look at the “possible” consequences and I can’t bear to move forward. What about the other action? Well, the fallout of that might also be unbearable, so I don’t take that action either. I can’t stay where I am. I must do one of the other and let the actions speak louder. Repeatedly I return back to the same fork in the road, and I don’t act on either one, hoping that the next time I return there would be more clarity. Sadly, clarity hardly comes. Eventually, when I do act, a lot more damage has been done than was necessary…damage that could have been avoided if I only had the courage to act sooner.
Well, more damage isn’t always done, one could argue. It’s true. Still, at the very least, you take away your control of the situation by becoming a victim. Surely that’s wrong, you say. What if you rush into a decision that you later come to regret? Wouldn’t it be better to consider things fully before you do something stupid? Once again, that’s correct. However, for most people, the consideration goes on for way longer than it should. If there is something else that should happen first, then that’s fine; but this is not the case either, for most people. It’s just that they don’t want to do what is necessary.
Making decisions is a key activity in taking control of your life. It’s a skill in itself. Some people seem to have the ability to do it better than others. For these people, it seems to be an innate ability. For others, well it requires development. You have to practice. You have to flex those “decision-making” muscles and let your actions speak louder. You can’t afford to wait around for things to happen. You have to confront your fear…fear of failure and of missed opportunities.
In order to develop the ability to act when the situation demands it, it’s ironic that the best ally is a more “passive” resource. It’s acceptance. When you can learn to accept life, then you are able to do more without being paralyzed by fear. Think about it. You can’t control everything. This is a fact. You can’t see the future (unless you are psychic or something, in which case skip this); another fact. You will make mistakes in life; but you can recover and move on. Accept all of this and you’re well on your way to being able to make tough decisions.
Acceptance is not so difficult. You do it all the time. Do you drive? Well, if you do, you have to take it for granted that the driver coming from the opposite direction is not a lunatic who is going to run into you. If you’ve ever crossed the street at a Traffic Light, or gotten in a car with someone else driving, then you’re doing a lot of accepting. How do you do it? Well, you don’t have a choice. You have to get to where you’re going. You wouldn’t get there if you refuse to get in a car because you are afraid you might crash. It’s a risk you have to take because you are convinced that it there is almost no choice. Well, how about applying that acceptance to your decision? There are no guarantees in life (generally speaking). You might have made a mistake, but at least you had the courage to choose. And who’s to say you wouldn’t have gotten struck by lightning if you had taken the other path. You just can’t know that it would have been better if you hadn’t acted as you did. Accept this as well. It will give you confidence. Trust me, with confidence; you are already half-way to your destination.
So step up to the plate. Choose. Don’t be a victim of circumstance. You can do so much more knowing that you are responsible for the choices that have delivered you to where you are for the betterment of your Life.
Fail to succeed is definitely something you will hear from most entrepreneurs and how they had tried many things with failure before success.
I don’t think it’s any one thing that causes people to fail but it is more than likely a combination of many things. Here are some things people do that cause them problems and hastens their failure…
So many people are looking at way too much coming into their email inbox or out on the NET and they get “Info Overload/Overkill”. You just really have to stop yourself and become more focused and don’t let this run you over. I see so many people just buying every little new “Shiny Object” that comes out and then they do NOTHING with it. They become “professional buyers” with no action on their part to learn what they just purchased or follow any steps given to actually build their income or business.
Many buy the eBooks and digital products because it is so easy when you are online thinking that if I just have this it will be the “Silver Bullet” and the money will start pouring “Down from Heaven”. Ok, well we all have been there and yes it is a mistake. Take the time for some due diligence and research before just buying and yes that means read.
I’ve learned now in 9 years online that you don’t have to know everything, you just have to know how to start so when you decide to buy into something just take the action and do what is taught. Yes, you may have certain struggles and growing pains along the way which may be the point of fail to succeed for you.
Also, it does take some mindset development so you will need to be patient with this in order not to have the wrong attitude. Focus on positivity and envision your SUCCESS because it is coming when you maintain the right attitude and mindset. Read a good book or audio book such as “Think and Grow Rich – Napoleon Hill”, or even a Youtube channel such as Brendon Burchard. Remember, “If you THINK you can’t succeed, you won’t.” I am a firm believer that your mind believes what you continually tell it. If you think you are a failure, you will be a failure. If you think you can’t write an eBook, you won’t write an eBook.
Now, onto an important piece with any business and that is “Traffic” the Life Blood of your business and you have to spend some time learning how to get traffic to your site. One of the biggest reasons most people don’t learn “Traffic Generation” is laziness or they just believe it is too hard or don’t know where or how to start.
There are so many resources out here on the NET so there really is no excuse for lack of knowledge. I recommend to pick just one “Traffic” strategy such as Facebook marketing or consider a “Solo Ad” strategy. Both of these work really well and you just need to find a course that teaches that and then do what it tells you to do.
